CARTEL 2010 SHIRAZ
REGION
Coonawarra, South Australia
COLOUR
Deep crimson with vibrant cherry red hues.
BOUQUET
Lifted aromas of rich, juicy cherry, raspberry and classic Shiraz spice, complimented by fine vanillin oak.
PALATE
This is a classically structured Shiraz with generous mouth filling fruit characters, and good palate weight. The palate is soft and supple providing juicy cherry and berry flavours with some spicy undertones and well integrated oak characters. Fine smooth tannins give structure and length and the solid acid profile means the wine can be enjoyed now but will also reward ageing for 5-10 years.
