Winemaker’s Notes
Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon are the two famous white grapes of the Bordeaux region in France, and are commonly blended together to produce wines of many different expressions, depending on the region in which they are grown. The cool Pyrenees district of Western Victoria can produce elegant and distinctive wines with these varieties and this is no exception. The 2011 / 2012 growing season was ideal for all varieties with good rains spread throughout a cool spring and summer, followed by a mild dry autumn. allowing healthy vine canopy growth, important for development of flavour and shade.
